Sambiloto (Androgruphis paniculuta [Burm.f.] Nees) towards Tyrosine Kinase Enzyme

Tyrosine kinase is one of the cancer growth's triggers. An over activity of
this enzyme caused by mutation will cause an uncontrotlabIe cell growth.
Sambiloto (A. paniculata [Bm.f.] Nees) is a plant traditionally used as a herbal
medicine. This plant contains andrographofide compound which has potency as an
anticancer. This research investigated the inhibition of plant extract towards
tyrosine kinase activity using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELZSA)
technique and the result was compared with genistein (positive control).
The extraction of Sambilofu was carried out using ethanol 70%,
aquademineralized, and water. The result showed that aquadem and water extract
contains alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin, and terpenoid, whereas ethanol extract contains

alkaloid and terpenoid. The toxicity of ethanol extract was higher than both water and
aquademineralized extract, with the LCso of 427,93, 873,51, and 2.062,34 ppm,
respectively. The inhibition of aquademineralized extract (70,12%) was higher than
ethanol (67,05%) and water (64,52%) extract. These three extracts were more able to
inhibit tyrosine kinase activity than genistein (6,02%) on the concentration of 300 ppm. It
proves that these three extracts have potency as an anticancer medicine.
