Hasil bumi seperti kelapa yang selama ini hanya dijual ke pasar masih dalam bentuk kelapa utuh,
ternyata dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan dasar masakan berupa santan. Dengan
berkembangnya ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang begitu pesat dengan berbagai aplikasinya,
tidak menutup kemungkinan hal ini untuk direalisasikan. Disisi lain bagi para usaha kecil yang
tidak mampu mengembangkan usahanya karena terbentur masalah dana atau sarana, maka
dengan diciptakannya mesin pemarut dan pemeras kelapa ini akan menjadi sarana bagi mereka
untuk bisa mengembangkan usahanya serta dapat membuka bentuk usaha baru dan dapat
digunakan untuk hal- hal yang bermanfaat
Dari permasalahan diatas diperlukan alternatif teknologi tepat guna untuk mempermudah para
pengusaha kecil dan meningkatkan nilai jual kelapa. Maka dirancang mesin pemarut dan
pemeras kelapa.
Adapun mesin pemarut dan pemeras kelapa yang dirancang berukuran : 1300mm x 1000mm x
800mm, tebal rata-rata kelapa = 10 mm, Kapasitas hasil pemarutan dari alat ini adalah 29 Kg/jam
atau sekitar 66 biji/jam.
