KESIMPULAN DAN SARAN
A. Kesimpulan
1.

Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut:

Telah dikembangkan aplikasi real-time business intelligence berbasis web

untuk subjek kegiatan akademik pada universitas dengan studi kasus pada
Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta melalui proses ETL yang terintegrasi

dengan CDC, proses pembangunan data warehouse, dan pembuatan laporan.

Konsep real-time diwujudkan dengan mengintegrasikan CDC dengan tool


ETL menggunakan model CDC Pull yang secara periodik meminta
perubahan data, yaitu setiap menit setiap harinya.

SSIS package memproses perubahan data saja dengan menerima sekumpulan

record yang merepresentasikan perubahan yang ditangkap sejak siklus
permintaan

B. Saran

Saran yang dapat diberikan untuk peneliti yang ingin melanjutkan maupun

mengembangkan penelitian sejenis adalah:

1. Ketersediaan data-data sumber yang baik akan sangat menunjang kualitas

informasi dan report yang dihasilkan. Oleh sebab itu sebaiknya diminimalisasi


adanya data kosong pada data sumber dan kesalahan pada pengisian data
sumber sehingga informasi yang dihasilkan lebih akurat.

2. Pembangunan data warehouse dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut untuk

kebutuhan pada subjek lain atau unit lain di lingkungan kerja Universitas

Atma Jaya Yogyakarta sehingga menambah ketersediaan informasi yang
dibutuhkan.

3. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat melanjutkan proses ETL menggunakan CDC
pada semua tabel. Selain itu, penelitian selanjutnya dapat mengembangkan

model CDC Push dengan mekanisme pengiriman yang mengirimkan

perubahan data ke tool ETL segera setelah perubahan terjadi.
