Seiring budaya konsumtif dan modernisasi pada masyarakat, limbah organik maupun
anorganik rumah tangga tak terelakkan menjadi efek samping kemajuan zaman. Tak
terkecuali di Dusun Gulon, yang nyatanya belum memiliki pengelolaan lingkungan yang
baik sehingga harus diberikan pembinaan yang intensif. Salah satunya dengan proses
daur ulang limbah rumah tangga menjadi produk kerajinan yang unik dan ekonomis.
Daur ulang dapat dilaksanakan melalui proses reductionatau menguragi kuantitas
limbah, reuseatau menggunakan kembali alat bahan bekas,recyclingatau mendaur ulang
untuk membentuk produk baru danrecovery atau memulihkan kembali keadaan
sebelumnya.Hal ini juga seiring dengan minimnya pemberdayaan ekonomi di ibu-ibu PKK
tersebut, sehingga kedua peluang ini wajib dimaksimalkan untuk memperoleh
kemandirian masyarakat, khususnya ibu-ibu Dusun Gulon tersebut.
Tujuan dari program KKN ini adalah untuk mengurangi permasalahan lingkungan,
memberikan ketrampilan hidup bagi warga dan mengoptimalkan potensi ibu-ibu PKK
Dusun Gulon. Tahap pemberdayaan masyarakat ini dimulai dengan observasi, pelatihan
pembuatan aneka limbah menjadi produk home industry, proses produksi, pemasaran
serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Untuk tahun pertama, tim menargetkan pemberian
ketrampilan hidup pada ibu ibu PKK Dusun Gulon. Hal ini dilaksanakan dengan
melakukan pelatihan-pelatihan pembuatan produk aneka limbah yang telah dilaksanakan
sebanyak 5 kali. Produk-produk seperti tas plastik, jilbab kain perca dan handycraft
hingga kini masih menjadi primadona untuk diberdayakan warga.
Hasil yang diperoleh dari pelaksanaan program KKN hingga saat ini adalah reduksi
sampah anorganik rumah tangga di Dusun Gulon, masyarakat mengetahui pentingnya
kebersihan lingkungan, masyarakat memiliki ketrampilan pembuatan kerajinan tangan
dari flanel, jilbab , kain perca, kardus dan koran, serta kegiatan ibu-ibu PKK Gulon lebih
variatif dan efektif.
Hambatan yang ditemui berupa sulitnya menentukan waktu untuk berkegiatan bersama
serta karakter dari warga yang belum terlalu dikenali tim KKN. Sehingga tim KKN harus
selalu membina kerjasama dan komunikasi intensif untuk meyakinkan warga terhadap
prospek home industry ini.

BUSINESS TRAINING HOME CRAFT CREATIVE PRODUCTS INDUSTRY BASED ON VARIOUS
MEASURES OF WASTE WASTE AS ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT TOWARDS PKK OF GULON
TO REDUCE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE AND IMPROVING ECONOMIC COMMUNITY (Sukarmin,

As the culture of consumerism and modernization of the society, organic and unorganic
waste household becomes inevitable side effect of progress. Not least in the hamlet
Gulon, which in fact does not have good environmental management should be given
intensive coaching. One of them by the recycling of household waste to produce
handicrafts unique and economical. Recycling can be done through a process or reduces
the quantity of waste reduction, reuse or re-use appliance scrap materials, recycling or
recycling to form new products, and recovery or restore a previous state. It is also in line
with the lack of economic empowerment PKK, so both of these opportunities shall be
maximized to obtain the independence of the public, especially the mothers in Gulon.
The purpose of the service learning program is to reduce environmental problems,
provide life skills for residents and optimize potential PKK in Gulon village. Phase
empowerment begins with observation, training, manufacturing various home industry
waste into products, production processes, marketing and monitoring and evaluation. For
the first year, the team targets the provision of life skills in the mother PKK Gulon village.
This is done by conducting trainings manufacture of various waste products that have
been implemented by 5 times. Products such as plastic bags, and handicrafts patchwork
scarf is still the star to be empowered citizens.
The results obtained from the implementation of service learning program to date is the
reduction of inorganic household waste in Gulon village, people know the importance of
clean environment, society handicraft skills of flannel, scarf, patchwork, cardboard and
newspapers, as well as the activities of PKK Gulon more varied and effective.
Obstacles encountered such difficulties with determining the time for activism and
character of the people who have not been too recognizable KKNN team. So the KKN
team should always foster cooperation and communication intensive to convince
residents of the home industry's prospects.
