FOUNDATION STUDIES FOR AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE
University Putra Malaysia’s Foundation program is administered by the Centre of
Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science. The students pursue Foundation
programme in a campus environment which enriches their preparation for degree
studies. The foundation programme provides the academic background in a range
of interesting subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics,
Agriculture, English For Academic Purpose, Oral Interaction Skills and Introduction
to Information Technology. This programme is designed to prepare students with
the necessary foundation to pursue Bachelor programmes at University Putra
Malaysia. The Foundation Studies for Agricultural Science Programme is delivered
through engaging lectures supplemented with laboratory and field work and projects
to build the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed not only in their
undergraduate studies, but more importantly, as independent life-long learners.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
O level or equivalent, with at least ;
i.

Obtained Grade B in the subjects of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics
and Additional Mathematics;

ii.

Obtained Grade B in EITHER ONE (1) of the following subjects:
 Physics
 Agricultural Science
 Agrotechnology Studies, AND

iii.

Credits (Grade B) in English Language.

AND TOEFL score at least 500 or a score of 5.5 in the IELTS.
