Audia Primanti Surachmat. 210110080113. 2013. Skripsi ini berjudul Apresiasi
Mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Trisakti Jurusan Perhotelan Terhadap
Rubrik Epicure News pada Majalah Epicure Indonesia. Dr. H. Dede Mulkan,
M.Si, selaku pembimbing utama dan Pandan Yudha Pramesti, S.Sos., MT. selaku
pembimbing pendamping, Jurusan Jurnalistik, Fakultas Ilmu Komunikasi,
Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung.
Dalam penelitian ini penulis melakukan analisis terhadap apresiasi
mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STP) Trisakti Jurusan Perhotelan terhadap
majalah Epicure Indonesia dengan menggunakan metode penelitian survey
dengan teknik deskriptif, melihat dari aspek kognitif, aspek emotif, dan aspek
evaluatif. Peneliti menggunakan Teori Perbedaan Individual (The Individual
Differences Theory) dan Teori Kategori Sosial (Social Categories Theory) sebagai
landasan teori dalam penelitian ini. Teori ini menjelaskan bahwa setiap individu
mempunyai potensi berbeda-beda, serta pengalaman dan lingkungan yang
berbeda.
Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran
angket, wawancara dan studi pustaka. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan
peneliti adalah probability sampling jenis proportionate stratified random sampling
yang dilakukan dengan memperhatikan strata yang ada dalam populasi tersebut.
Dari hasil angket yang disebarkan kepada 90 orang mahasiswa Sekolah
Tinggi Pariwisata (STP) Trisakti Jurusan Perhotelan selaku responden, memiliki
apresisasi yang tinggi terhadap rubrik Epicure News pada majalah Epicure
Indonesia melihat dari isi artikel, judul artikel, tata letak (layout), gaya bahasa dan
daya tarik foto.
Simpulan yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah, terlihat pada aspek
kognitif terlihat bahwa responden mengetahui keberadaan dan isi rubrik. Untuk
aspek emotif, terlihat responden merasa puas dengan kehadiran rubrik pada
majalah Epicure Indonesia. Sedangkan untuk aspek evaluatif, responden menilai
baik keberadaan rubrik Epicure News.
Saran yang dapat diberikan kepada redaksi rubrik Epicure News adalah
pemilihan warna pada tata letak (layout) majalah Epicure News sebaiknya
ditambahkan warna-warna lain yang menarik tidak hanya hitam dan putih saja.

Against Epicure News Rubric on Epicure Indonesia’s Magazine Dr. H. Dede
Mulkan, M.Si, as the main supervisor and Pandan Yudha Pramesti, S.Sos., MT. as
a mentor assistant, Department of Journalism, Faculty of Communication,
University of Padjadjaran, Bandung.
In this study the authors conducted an analysis of Institute of Tourism in
Hospitality Department Trisakti student appreciations againts Epicure News
using survey research methods with descriptive techniques, by seeing cognitive
aspects, emotive aspects, and evaluative aspects. Researchers used The Individual
Differences Theory and Social Categories Theory as the theoretical basis of this
research. This theory explains that every individual has different potential and
different experiences and environments.
This study used a technique of collecting data through questionnaire,
interviews, and literature. Data collection techniques used by researchers is the
type of probability sampling proportionate stratified random sampling is done by
taking into account the existing strata in the population.
From the results of a questionnaire distributed to 90 students of the
Institute of Tourism (STP) Trisakti Hospitality Department as respondents, have a
high appreciation of the rubric Epicure Epicure magazine News on Indonesia see
from the contents of the article, the article title, layout (layout), language and
style photo charms.
The conclusions obtained from this study is, look at the cognitive aspect
shows that the respondents knew of the existence and content of the rubric. For
the emotive aspects, respondents were satisfied with the visible presence of the
rubric in Indonesia Epicure magazine. As for the evaluative aspects, respondents
rated both the existence rubric Epicure News.
Advice can be given to editors of Epicure News section is a selection of
colors at Epicure News magazine should be added other colors are attractive not
just black and white.
