ANALYSIS OF SOEHARTOS MORAL ATTITUDES IN
SOEHARTO: MY THOUGHTS, WORDS AND DEEDS

Abstraksi :
The problem of this research is that every human has moral which influences
his/her attitudes and behavior. And it could be seen from the character of
Soeharto. The aims of this research are to describe moral attitudes of Soeharto in
Soeharto: My Thoughts, Words and Deeds. and to describe the moral
messages. This book is explaining his life. The writer uses a qualitative method.
The data are in the form of quotations and related to moral attitude. The source
of data is the book Soeharto: My Thoughts, Words and Deeds by G. Dwipayana
and Ramadhan K.H. The result of this research shows that there are eight moral
attitudes described Soeharto, i.e.: respectful, responsible,motivated, ambition,
helpful, religious, faithful and modest. They shows in the book moral attitudes
of Soeharto, who became the main object of analysis, proved that although he
was a President, he never forgot to do his role, being responsibility, and he never
differentiated himself from other people. He always felt that he was the same as
the other citizen of the country. This book gives valuable lessons in our life
especially about moral attitudes and moral messages that we can take in it.
