By plainmaryjane Bought for my kindergarten classroom, this story is simple for me to read aloud and works as a great introduction to Harriet Tubman. It tends to be difficult to find books that introduce important people for Black History Month, and this is now one of my favorites! Allows for discussion on complex topics for little minds. Would be great to include in a class library for second grade (independent reading levels).
