ABSTRAK
Kertas karya ini berjudul The interpretation of metaphor found in 20 songs of
Taylor Swift. Kertas karya ini membahas jenis dan makna metapora dalam lirik
lagu taylor swift. Tujuan dari penulisan kertas karya ini adalah untuk mengetahui
jenis jenis metafora dalam bentuk Simile, Personifikasi, dan Hiperbola yang
terdapat dalam lirik lagu taylor swift. Dalam menulis kertas karya ini penulis
menggunakan metode kepustakaan, Mengambil data dari beberapa buku, dan
internet dimana lirik yang terdapat metapora dalam lirik lagu taylor swift
dikumpulkan dan di analisis. Dalam 20 lirik taylor swift terdapat 29 metapora
yang terdiri dari 13 Simile (55%), 4 Personifikasi (13,7%), 9 Hiperbola (31%).
metapora dalam bentuk Simile adalah jumlah yang paling dominan.

ABSTRACT
This paper entitled The interpretation of metaphor found in 20 of taylor swift.
this paper discuss the types and meaning of metaphor in the lyrics of the song
taylor swift. The purpose of this paper is to analyze types of metaphor in the
form of simile, personification and hyperbole contained in the lyrics of the song
taylor swift. In this paper the authors wrote the paper used the method of
literature, collect some data from some books, and the internet. the lyric which
contained metaphors in the lyrics of the song taylor swift collected and analyzed.
In 20 lyrics taylor swift metaphor there are 29 Simile consists of 16 (55%), 4
Personification (13.7%), 9 Hyperbole (31%). Metaphor in the form of Simile is
the number of the most dominant.
