Pompa Hidramadalah suatu sistem mekanik untuk mengangkat air dari tempat rendah menuju ke
tempat yang lebih tinggi dengan memanfaatkan energi potensial sumber air yang
dialirkan.Pompa Hidram mempunyai banyak keunggulan baik ditinjau dari segi teknologi
maupun dari segi ekonomis. Pompa ini bekerja berdasarkan prinsip palu-air (water hammer).
Ketika aliran fluida dihentikan secara tiba-tiba, maka perubahan momentum massa fluida
tersebut akan meningkatkan tekanan secara tiba-tiba pula. Peningkatan tekanan ini digunakan
untuk mengangkat sebagian fluida tersebut ke tempat yang lebih tinggi. Pompa
Hidrammerupakan alternatifyang cukup bagus untuk mengatasi kebutuhan air didaerah yang
masih jauh dari sumber energi.
Tujuan dari analisa dan simulasi ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas rancangan pompa
hidram tipe columbia. Dari hasil analisa didapatkan tekanan akibat Water Hamer pada rancangan
Pompa Hidram tipe columbia ini adalah 23.0783 Bar, debit output sampai 1.05 liter/detik dan
efisiensi pompa adalah 18 %.
Hidram pump is a mechanical system for lifting water from low places leading to a higher place
by utilizing the potential energy of water resources that are drawn. Hidram pump has many
advantages both in terms of technological and economical terms. This pump works on the
principle of hammer-water (water hammer). When the fluid flow is stopped abruptly, then the
mass of the fluid momentum change would increase the pressure too suddenly. Increased
pressure is used to lift some of the fluid is to place higher. Hidram pump is an alternative that is
good enough to overcome the water needs in the area that is still far from sources of energy.
The purpose of the analysis and simulation is to determine the effectiveness of the design of the
pump hidramcolumbia type. From the analysis results obtained from pressure Water Pump
HidramHamer on the design of this type columbiaare 23.0783 Bar, discharge the output until
1:05 liters / sec and pump efficiency is 18%.
