CONCLUSIONS
The conclusion that can be drawn from this research were: At 37oC and pH 7 can provide optimal
conditions for growth of strain KWN5 with OD values at a wavelength of 660 was I .2 and 200 ppm can
degrade DBT in TD was 75.21%.
Pseudomonos sp. Strain KWN5 was great potential in degrading aromatic sulfir compound contained
in petroleum, it is necessary to conduct further research especially to choose an effective method in its
application in industry.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Results show that Oryzalin treatments gave variation in term of size, type, form and number of
ctrnxnosome. Control plants has chromosome size ranging 32,5 pm- 73,8 pm. Treatment with Oryzalin
[r-O05o.,'i produced chromosome size26,3 pm - 80 pm, while Oryzalin0.0loA produced chromosome size
pm - 68,8 pm.
Control plants have the same type of chromosome with plant treated with Oryzalin 0.017o, i.e.
rnetacentric and submetacentric, whereas Oryzalin 0.005% treatment shows metacentric, submetacentric
arrJ subtelocentric type. Chromosome shape varied among treatmen8; i.e. stem, Y U and J on control

Ory'zalin 0.005% treatment, while Oryzalin 0.01% treafinent resulting in stem shape. Morphometric
rariation on chromosome occurred due to Oryzalin induced mutation, causing chromosome structure
aberration. Type ofaberration that can occur includes deletion, duplication, inversion and translocation
r Broun and Caligari 2008).
Chromosomes number on control plants are 24, whereas treatment with Oryzalin 0.0050/, resulting
in {8 chromosome, and treatrnent with Oryzalin 0.01% resulted in 32 chromosomes (Figure 1). This was
in accordance with researchresults by Takamura (2002) which revealed the most effective ploidy induction
on in vitro Lilium using Oryzalin was at 0.005%. However, optimum concentration to produce bulblet

and highest ploidy level was at 0.003%. Higher concentration inhibits bulblet formation on L. longiflorum
