Overview
Mahir Berbahasa Indonesia (MBI) is a special
program for foreigners who are interested in
Bahasa Indonesia and Indonesian culture. It
provides participants with the opportunity to
acquire communicative competence both in
spoken and written Bahasa Indonesia. The
learning is conducted through a dynamic process
in formal and informal settings. Meanwhile, the
course material integrates the language
elements (i.e., grammar and vocabulary) and
language skills (i.e., speaking, reading
comprehension, writing, and listening) into a
communicative learning environment.
Program Excellence:

Direct pertinence to real-life situations and
constant interaction are emphasized.

Qualified instructors and tutors are trained in
both the natural approach and
communicative teaching method. Every
course is conducted on the basis of
participants' needs.

Private custom-designed course packages
are also available.
Venue
Each course is conducted at the Office of
International Affairs and Partnerships of
Yogyakarta State University. The private program
is conducted according to the participants' need.
