INTISARI
Dalam sistem komunikasi, data yang hendak dikirimkan akan dimodulasi terlebih

dahulu sebelum dikirim, dan didemodulasi sebelum sampai ke penerima. Secara garis
besar ada 2 teknik modulasi yaitu modulasi analog dan digital. Dibandingkan dengan
modulasi analog, modulasi digital lebih menjamin keamanan data saat dikirimkan,
mampu mengirimkan data dengan kapasitas yang lebih besar dan lebih cepat, dan
memiliki tingkat error yang lebih kecil. Teknik modulasi digital memiliki bermacammacam jenis hal ini membutuhkan penjelasan yang rinci, agar mahasiswa dapat
memahami perbedaan proses masing-masing teknik modulasi digital tersebut. Teknikteknik modulasi tersebut akan lebih mudah dipahami apabila mahasiswa bisa melihat
proses modulasi dengan menggunakan alat peraga yang dapat menggambarkan setiap
proses modulasi tersebut. Simulator modulasi digital dengan menggunakan perangkat
lunak Matlab sebagai alat peraga perkuliahan menjadi pilihan untuk membantu
mahasiswa memahami teknik-teknik modulasi digital. Dalam simulator ini terdapat 8
ragam modulasi digital yaitu Binary Amplitude Shift Keying (BASK), On-Off Shift Keying
(OOK), Binary Frequency Shift Keying (BFSK), Differential Phase Shift Keying (DPSK),
Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK), Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK), Offset
Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (OQPSK), dan Quadrature Amplitide Modulation

(QAM).

ABSTRACT

In communication system, the will be sent data must be modulated first and
demodulated before reach the receiver. There are two main technical modulator, they are
analog and digital modulation. Compared with analog modulation, digital modulation is
saver when being transmitted. Digital modulation is capable to send bigger data and it is
faster as it has little errors level. Digital modulation technology has many different kinds
which needs some details and explanation, so that students can understand the difference
process for each digital modulation. Those modulation technologies would be easier to be
understood if students can see the modulation process that are using the acting tools
which can described every modulation process. Digital modulation simulator that is using
Matlab software as class sample tool has been chosen to help the students to better
understand the digital modulation technology. In this simulator there are 9 varieties of
digital modulation they are Binary Amplitude Shift Keying (BASK), On-Off Shift Keying
(OOK), Binary Frequency Shift Keying (BFSK), Differential Phase Shift Keying (DPSK),
Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK), Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK), Offset
Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (OQPSK), dan Quadrature Amplitide Modulation

(QAM).

KATA PENGANTAR
Atas berkat dan karunia dari Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, penulis dapat menyusun dan
menyelesaikan skrispi berjudul “Simulator Modulasi Digital Dengan Perangkat Lunak
Matlab”. Skripsi ini merupakan syarat untuk menyelesaikan studi di Fakultas Teknik
Elektronika Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana.
Penulis menyadari bahwa tanpa adanya bantuan dan bimbingan dari berbagai
