Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out about vocational students’ perceptions towards oral
English speaking skill lesson in SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga. The participants were 40 students, in the
second grade of vocational high school. The research tool used for gathering the data was a
questionnaire using Likert scale. Based on the finding, it was indicated that most of the students
were conscious about the positive benefits of studying English especially for their future career.
Many of them also reported that they love English and get many benefits from learning English,
especially in their social life.
