Introduction
Overview
Annotation Case manipulates the alphabetic case of the characters displayed by attributes, dimensions, mtext,
and text objects, allowing you to change between lowercase, Mixed Case, and UPPERCASE.
Compatibilty
This version of Annotation Case is compatible with any AutoCAD 2000i-based product. For versions compatible
with other Autodesk products, visit our web site at www.powerlisp.com.
Evaluation License
PowerLISP Solutions grants an evaluation license which allows you to use and evaluate this program for a period
of thirty (30) days at which time the program will cease to function. Use of the demo version of this program in
excess of this evaluation period is in direct violation of United States copyright law and international treaties. If
you desire to continue using the program beyond this length of time, you are required to register and pay for an
End User License. Use the order form included in this manual.
Warranty
This software and manual are sold "as is" without warranties from PowerLISP Solutions as to performance of
merchantability or any other warranties whether expressed or implied.

Installation
To install Annotation Case, copy the file case.vlx to AutoCAD's support folder, e.g. C:\AutoCAD 2000i\support.
Loading
Annotation Case is a Visual LISP Executable. It may be loaded in the same manner as an AutoLISP program.
Refer to the online help for additional information.

Using Annotation Case
Once Annotation Case has been successfully loaded, type case↵ at the AutoCAD Command Line. Annotation
ase prompts:
Specify an option [About/Exceptions/Lower/Mixed/Upper] :
See the following for explanations of each option.
About
Displays information about the program.
Exceptions
Use the Exceptions List dialog (shown at right) to create a list
of words that will appear as you specify regardless of the case
used to convert the text strings. A list may be created for each
of the three cases and need not contain corresponding entries.
Each list may contain a maximum of 50 exceptions.
Lower
Causes all the alphabetic characters in the selected annotation objects to be converted to lowercase, subject to
the lowercase exceptions list, e.g. (this is lowercase.)
Mixed
Causes all the alphabetic characters in the selected annotation objects to be converted to mixed case, subject to
the mixed exceptions list, e.g. (This Is Mixed Case.)
Upper
Causes all the alphabetic characters in the selected annotation objects to be converted to uppercase, subject to
the uppercase exceptions list, e.g. (THIS IS UPPERCASE.)

This history is provided for the registered users of older releases to assist them in quickly considering an upgrade.

Improved word recognition
Words contained within braces, brackets, parentheses, and quotation marks are recognized and
converted correctly when mixed case is used.
Exception lists
Added the ability to create exception lists for each case.
New documentation format
Users’ Guide provided in Adobe© Acrobat© Reader format.

Made available as an individual product as well as with Annotation Suite.
