Question 16 - 20
Read the passage below carefully and answer the questions that follow.

Baca petikan di bawah dan jawab soalan-soalan yang berikutnya

The Mossy Forest of Gunung Brinchang is a moist tropical evergreen forest. It
sits at the highest part of Cameron Highlands. At this height, low clouds cover the
forest with moisture and mist. This creates an ideal environment for moss, ferns,
and orchids to grow and for snakes, frogs, insects, birds, and mammals, which are
adapted to the cool atmosphere, to live.
There is a wooden platform built through the forest for visitors to walk on as
they explore the forest. Besides layers of moss on the mountain floor and tree
trunks, there are orchids, pitcher plants, and vines hanging loosely from the tree
tops and branches.
However, the Mossy Forest is now closed to visitors and will remain so till the
middle of 2016. The closure will allow the authorities to clean up all the rubbish
which had been left behind by visitors. During this period, more rubbish bins will
be placed near the platform and signboards reminding people to take care of the
forest will be put up too. Importantly, it will give the moss time to repair and
grow.

Read the passage below carefully and answer the questions that follow.

Baca petikan dibawah dengan teliti kemudian jawab soalan-soalan berikutnya.

The tapir is a relative of horses and rhinoceros in some ways but it is
quite different from the horses. The tapir is the same as the horse in the sense
that both have odd hoofed legs.
A tapir is usually heavy and clumsy. It is smaller than a rhinoceros and
has no horns. Its head looks like a pig’s head. Like the rhinoceros, it has small
eyes and short ears. The tapir’s tail is short, too.
Tapirs live in swamps and streams. You can usually find them in jungles
and forests of Malaysia, Thailand, Sumatera and other tropical countries. They
like to hide themselves among the leaves and tall grasses. They sleep during the
day and search for food at night.
Tapirs are herbivores. They eat leaves, fruits and other vegetation. Their
senses of hearing and smelling are very good. They are also good swimmers and
often find protection in the water..
