Use one of the following categories:
F (Critical correction)
A (corresponds to a correction in an earlier
release)
B (Addition of feature),
C (Functional modification of feature)
D (Editorial modification)
Detailed explanations of the above categories can
be found in the TC Policies and Procedures.
Reason for change:
The service and version request parameters defined in the CSW part (cl. 10)
have fixed values (“CSW” and “2.0.2”, respectively) that prohibit profiling.
Summary of change:
Do not fix the values of these general request parameters; instead, stipulate
default values that may be overridden by a profile.
Consequences if
not approved:
It remains impossible to disambiguate profile-specific requests (which may
introduce extension elements that are not defined in the CSW part, or cannot be
ignored for a given profile).
Clauses affected:
OGC 07-006r1: cl. 10.3.6 (Table 57); cl. 10.13 (CSW-discovery.xsd)
Other specs
Affected:
X Other core specifications
