ABSTRACT
The research purposes are (1) to describe step learning fluid with
project based learning which can improve science process skills and
understanding physics conceptual (2) to describe science process skills
with project based learning model on fluid matter (3) to describe
conceptual with application project based learning model on fluid matter.
The research design was a classroom action research (CAR), which
were analyzed descriptively. Research subjects were students grade X MIA
2 SMA N 1 Kalasan, followed by 26 students, consist of 18 girls students
and 8 man students. Actions taken in application of project based learning
model type which consists of six phases, i.e. :(1) essential question; (2)
design a plan; (3) creating schedule; (4) monitor the progress; (5) assess
the outcomes; (6) evaluate the experiment/experience.

Result of this research indicate that project based learning model to
improve science process skill and understanding conceptual is conducted
clearly. There is improvement science process skill which is shown six
aspect observed include kind of categories and 1 aspect improve to very
kind. Improvemet of understanding concept is shown 84,62 % student
reached minimal achievement categories ≥ 75 with mean value of posttest
is 80,2. In addition, an improvement in N-gain score of 0.42 is considered
moderate. Improvement very positive response given by students with the
application of project based learning model, can be seen from as much 65
% of the students gave the reponse was very positive and the other 35 %
gave a positive response. Beside that, teacher gave the response was very
positive to project based learning model and continue benefit research
implementation of curriculum 2013.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini memiliki tiga tujuan, yaitu (1) untuk mendeskripsikan
langkah-langkah pembelajaran fluida dengan menggunakan model
pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan
proses sains dan pemahaman konsep, (2) mendeskripsikan keterampilan
proses sains dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek
pada materi pokok fluida, (3) mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep dengan
menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek pada materi pokok
fluida.
Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang
dianalisis secara deskriptif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X
MIA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Kalasan berjumlah 26 siswa, terdiri atas 18 siswa
putri dan 8 siswa putra. Tindakan yang dilakukan berupa penerapan model
pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang terdiri dari enam tahapan, yaitu (1)

Tahap Essential question; (2) Tahap Designing Project; (3) Tahap
Creating schedule; (4) Tahap Monitor the Progress; (5) Tahap Asses the
outcomes; (6) Tahap Evaluate the Experiment.
Hasil Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran
berbasis proyek untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan
pemahaman konsep fisika terlaksana dengan baik. Terdapat peningkatan
keterampilan proses sains yang ditunjukkan dari 6 aspek yang diamati
termasuk kategori baik dan 1 aspek yaitu mengamati dalam kategori
sangat baik. Peningkatan pemahaman konsep fisika ditunjukkan dari
84,62% siswa mencapai nilai KKM yang ditetapkan yaitu ≥ 75 dengan
rerata nilai posttest sebesar 80,2. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan N-gain
skor sebesar 0,42 yang dikategorikan sedang. Peningkatan respon sangat
positif yang diberikan siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran
berbasis proyek, dapat dilihat dari sebanyak 65% siswa memberikan
respon sangat positif dan 35% lainnya memberikan respon positif. Selain
itu, respon guru sangat positif terhadap model pembelajaran berbasis
proyek dan melanjutkan pemanfaatan penelitian sebagai implementasi
kurikulum 2013.
Kata kunci: model pembelajaran berbasis proyek, keterampilan proses
sains, pemahaman konsep, dan N-gain skor.
