Abstract
The previous researchhas been conducted to find out the potential of non-wood fibers as an
alternativefor paper-makingrar.l'material.The non-woodfibers usedare combinationof rice straw
and usedpaper.It was processed
by usingsodapulpingmethod.The paperwaste containsdissolved

It was also determinedthe optimal condition which can reduce the COD value to fulfill the
requirement
for waterdisposal.The initialconditionsof paperwastewater
are pH: 14. COD in the
rangeof 3,000 - I1,000 ppm. The coagulation-flocculation
processwas conductedby using Poly
AluminiumChloride(PAC) as coagulant
and anionicflocculant.The experimentis conductedby two
