ABSTRAK
Studibertujuanuntukmenganalisisimplementasiscientific approach dalam proses
pembelajaran IPA kelas VII SMP di salahsatusekolahpiloting Kurikulum 2013 di
kota Bandung denganmetodekualitatif. Sebanyak 75 orang siswakelas VII dandua
orang
guru
IPA
terlibatsebagaisubjekpenelitian.Lembaranalisis
RPP,
lembaranalisisbuku IPA, lembarobservasiimplementasiscientific approach,
lembarobservasiaktivitasbelajarsiswa,
danangketsikapilmiahsiswadigunakansebagaiinstrumen.Scientific approachyang
diukuradalimayaitumengamati, menanya, mengumpulkaninformasi/eksperimen,
mengasosiasikan/mengolahinformasi,
danmengkomunikasikan.
Indikatorsikapilmiah
yang
diukuradaenamyaitu
rasa
ingintahu,
mengutamakanbukti, bersikapskeptis, menerimaperbedaan, mampubekerjasama,
danbersikappositifterhadapkegagalan.Hasilpenelitianmenunjukkanbahwa
RPP
yang dibuatoleh guru beradapadakategorikurangdengannilai rata-ratasebesar
57,08%. Nilai rata-rataanalisisbuku IPA adalah55,55%dengankategorikurang.
Hasilimplementasiscientific

dalam

pembelajaransudahterlaksanasebesar
78,7%
di
kelasdengankategoribaik.
Aktivitasbelajarsiswadansikapilmiahsiswadapatterlihatdalampenerapanscientific
approach.
Rata-rata

adalah 0,228 danuntukkelas H adalah 0,143 yang menunjukkanadanyahubungan
yang
sangatlemahdanpositif.
Hasilpenelitianinidapatmenjadimasukandalamrangkaperbaikanmutupembelajaran
IPA di SMP.

The Analysis of Scientific Approach Implementation in Junior High School
Science Learning of the 2013 Curriculum
ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study is to analyze the scientific approach implementation in
second grade junior high school science learning in one of piloting school which
implementing 2013 curriculum in Bandung city by using qualitative method.
There are 75 students and two teachers involved in this study as the research
subjects. Analysis protocol, lesson plans, Science books analysis, science
approach implementation observation protocols, student’s activities observation
protocol, and scientific attitude questionnaire are employed as the instruments.
There are five components of the scientific approach that was measured during the
research, they are observing, questioning, gathering information/experiment,
associating/information processing, and communicating. Scientific attitude
indicators that were measured consists of six components, they are curiosity,
evident priority, skeptic, respect differences, able to work in group, and positive
towards failure. The result of the study showedthat the lesson plans that were
madebythe teachers ratedin the categorylesswithan averagescoreof57.08%. The
average score ofthe science bookanalyzeswas 55.55% rated withfewer categories.
The results ofthe implementation ofthe scientificapproachin the learning process
which has been implementedby78.7% inthe classwithgood category. Student
learning activitiesandstudents'scientificattitudecanbe seenin theapplication of
thescientificapproach.The average scoreof student learning activitiesamounted
to70.84% withsufficient criteria. Profilescientific attitudeof studentsis in thegood
categorywithan averagescore of77.03%. Correlationbetweenstudents' learning
activitiesandscientificattitudeof
studentstoclass
Aare0.228and0.143forclassHissuggesting averyweakcorrelationandpositive. The
results ofthis studycanbe used as a source of information to improvethe quality
ofscience teachinginjunior high school.
