Preface
It is our pleasure to publish the second issue of the first volume of The International
Journal of Tropical Veterinary and Biomedical Research (Int. J. Trop. Vet. Biomed.
Res.). In this new issue we published nine manuscripts. These articles exemplify the
review, analysis and exploration from economic analysis of farming business to
observation of animal behavior. In addition, several articles are also discussing animal
reproduction and food safety of animal origin.
The discussion in published articles in this issue has focused on challenges in the
animal industries as well as animal conservation. Animal agriculture serves as an
economic support for farmers. The production and reproduction of animal plays an
important role in economic aspect. The current finding in animal reproduction showed
that can be altered by the stimulation of hormones using products or byproducts or
animal waste. Therefore, the results of studies published in this issue could be use as
an alternative for future technology development of animal industry.
The articles in this issue is the result of submission papers by authors on topics of
current interest in basic and applied studies that have potential to lead to
improvements in the animal production and conservation. A vast amount of papers
were received and extensively reviewed and 9 peer-reviewed manuscripts were
accepted.
The editors of this issue hope that the research findings from the authors could be
applied under commercial settings, and will enhance both the level and the efficiency
of livestock production as well as animal conservation.
We hope that authors, colleagues, and readers could appreciate all the time and effort
expended in preparing this issue. We hope you find this new issue of The
International Journal of Tropical Veterinary and Biomedical Research as a valuable
resource.
