ABSTRAK
Aditya Wardana, 210110110497. Skripsi ini berjudul Makna Fashion Bagi
Fashion Blogger. Pembimbing utama Dr. Hj. Jenny Ratna Suminar, M.Si dan
Pembimbing pendamping Hadi Suprapto Arifin, Drs., M.Si. Konsentrasi
Marketing Communication, Program Studi Manajemen Komunikasi, Fakultas
Ilmu Komunikasi, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna fashion bagi para fashion
blogger di Jakarta, dengan menganalisis motif informan menjadi fashion blogger,
pengalaman menjalani tren sebagai fashion blogger, dan makna blog bagi
informan. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan
fenomenologi Alfred Schutz. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu
wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi pustaka.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motif sebab informan berkaitan
dengan suka hal fashion, rasa ketertarikan, dan dorongan teman. Motif tujuan
fashion blogger adalah menginspirasi orang dan mengubah pandangan. Aktivitas
fashion blogger adalah undangan acara fashion, diliput media, dan endorsement.
Interaksi yang terjadi di antara fashion blogger membicarakan seputar fashion,
blogging dan sharing masalah pribadi. Informan memaknai makna blog sebagai
suatu media menambah teman baru dan menciptakan lingkungan sosial baru.
Informan merasa sangat dekat dan menemukan kenyamanan dengan sesama
fashion blogger, dan menganggap seperti keluarga sendiri.

Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah makna fashion dapat menginspirasi
orang, dilihat dengan gaya dan pakaian, fashion merupakan poin penting yang
dapat membentuk karakter dan identitas diri seseorang. Makna fashion terbentuk
dipengaruhi oleh motif menjadi fashion blogger, pengalaman informan selama
menjadi fashion blogger, dan makna blog yang muncul atas pengalaman yang
sudah dialami oleh informan.

This study aims to determine the meaning of fashion for fashion bloggers in
Jakarta, by analyzing the motives informant became a fashion blogger, experience
undergoing as a trend of fashion bloggers, and the meaning of blog for
informants. The method used is qualitative research with Alfred Schutz’s

phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques used were interviews,
observation, and literature.
The results showed that because-motives informant related to loving fashion,
a sense of interest, and encouragement from friends. In-order-to motives fashion
bloggers is to inspire people and change the view. Fashion bloggers activity is
attending fashion event, covered by the media, and endorsement. Interactions that
occur among fashion bloggers talked about fashion, blogging and sharing
personal problems. Informants interpret the meaning of the blog as a media to
add new friends and create a new social environment. Informants feel very close
to and feel comfortable with other fashion bloggers, and regard as their own
family.
Conclusions from this research is the meaning of fashion can inspiring
people, seen with the style and dress, fashion is an important point that can shape
a person's character and identity. Meaning of fashion influenced by the motive
into a fashion blogger, experience undergoing as a trend of fashion bloggers, and
the meaning of the blog that appears because the experience that already
experienced by the informants.
