THE PROHIBITION TO IMPOSE LEVIES ON EXPORT GOODS
(Presidential Instruction No. 1/1998, dated January 21, 1998)
THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
Considering :
that within the framework of national economic reforms and restructuring for the
enhancement of competitiveness as well as export promotion of Indonesian
products, it is deemed necessary to issue a presidential instruction concerning the
prohibition to impose levies on export goods.
In view of :
Article 4 paragraph (1) of the Constitution of 1945.
INSTRUCTS :
1. Coordinator Minister for Economy, Finance and Development Supervision;
2. Coordinator Minister for Production and Distribution;
3. Minister of Home Affairs;
4. Minister of Finance;
5. Minister of Industry and Trade;
6. Minister of Agriculture;
7. Minister of Forestry;
8. Minister of Communications;
9. Minister of Manpower;
10. Minister of Health;
11. Attorney General;
12. Governors of First Level Regions;
To :
FIRSTLY :
Take immediate measures to prohibit and or abolish the imposition of levies on
export goods, in the central government and regional levels.
SECONDLY :
This presidential instruction shall come into force as from the date of stipulation.
Stipulated in Jakarta
