RINGKASAN
Desain Jembatan Penyeberangan Orang di Kawasan Pasar Kepatihan Jember
(Sisi Jalan Ahmad Yani); Sandityan Purmo Saputro, 081910301048; 2012: 80
Halaman; Fakultas Teknik Jurusan Teknik Sipil Universitas Jember.

Kemacetan terus berkembang dari waktu ke waktu. Hal ini disebabkan
karena berbagai macam faktor yang mampu mempengaruhinya salah satunya adalah
aktivitas pejalan kaki. Kemacetan yang terjadi di Kawasan Pasar Kepatihan Jember
selain diakibatkan oleh kondisi parkir yang ada, adanya aktivitas pejalan kaki yang
padat menjadi faktor lain yang patut untuk diperhatikan. Dampak kemacetan yang
terjadi adalah antrian menjadi bertambah panjang hingga sepanjang lampu merah
Gladak Kembar. Kawasan pasar Kepatihan Jember (Sisi Jalan Ahmad Yani) memiliki
karakteristik jalan seperti trotoar memiliki lebar 1,80 m dengan tipe jalan 4/2 UD
dengan lebat jalan sebesar 14,50 m.
Aktivitas pejalan kaki di Kawasan ini terjadi pada saat aktivitas Pasar
Kepatihan berlangsung yaitu di Pagi Hari. Penelitian sebelumnya pernah dilakukan
oleh Any Ferawati dan menyimpulkan bahwa daerah tersebut membutuhkan adanya
fasilitas pejalan kaki berupa Jembatan Penyeberangan Orang. Tujuan dari penelitian
ini adalah untuk mendesain Jembatan Penyeberangan Orang (JPO).Untuk
menentukan lebar jembatan yang akan didesain, dilakukan survey arus pejalan kaki
dengan memperhitungkan kapasitas pejalan kaki yang melakukan aktivitas
penyeberangan dimana dihitung berdasarkan jumlah pejalan kaki yang menyeberang
dan menyusuri trotoar.
Dari hasil penelitian jumlah arus pejalan kaki nantinya akan diambil lebar
minimal yang direkomendasikan yaitu 2 meter. Dari hasil penelitian telah didapatkan
Jembatan Penyeberangan Orang dengan kriteria antara lain, ukuran tinggi jembatan
5,3 meter, lebar jembatan digunakan 2 meter, ruang JPO menggunakan profil IWF

150 x 75, gelagar jembatan menggunakan beton prategang dan kolom Jembatan
menggunakan ukuran dimensi 45 x 30 cm.
