8. Coursework: assessment
8.1 Assessment criteria
The project will be assessed using the criteria below which are based on the assessment objectives listed earlier in the syllabus. Marking should be positive and candidates should be rewarded for their achievements
rather than penalised for their failings.
A maximum of 6 marks are available for each of the criteria. Marks should be awarded for achievement as follows:
5–6 excellent 3–4 competent
1–2 some positive achievement
no evidence of positive achievement for this criterion
