ABSTRAKSI
Dalam pembuatan film, iklan, ataupun video klip kerap kali dijumpai sosok punpk sebagai
penghias ide kreatif seorang sutradara untuk memperindah dan mempermudah hasil karya yang
ditampilkan mendapatkan simpatik dari audiens kalangan punk ataupun masyarakat biasa. Punk
dimanfaatkan sebagai objek yang bisa dijadikan daya pikat konsumen. Dalam film Punk in Love
karya Ody C. Harahap juga menggunakan obyek komunitas punk. . Dari sinilah peneliti ingin
mengetahui makna dari representasi komunitas punk dalam film Punk in Love karya Ody C.

Representasi adalah proses sosial representing. Representasi bisa berarti proses perubahan
konsepkonsep ideologi yang abstrak dalam bentukbentuk yang kongkrit, Representasi juga
mewakili atau melambangkan, memperlihatkan sebuah citra, gambaran, penampilan dramatis.
Reprsentasi merupakan sebuah caracara vital guna mendukung ideology sebuah budaya:
pandangan dunia mendisiplinkan sunjeksubjeknya. Konsep representasi juga erat dihubungkan
dengan konsep pengulangan (repetition): bisa dikemukakan bahwa kata, misalnya adalah
representasi yang hanya memperoleh dari sejumlah hal yang mungkin diulang yakni, digunakan
kembali dalam kontkskonteks yang berbeda. Jadi representasi komunitas punk merupakan
gambaran seorang punkers dari sebuah pemaknaan. Sedangkan film adalah bentuk dominan dari
komunikasi massa visual di belahan dunia ini
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan semiotik dengan dengan tipe penelitian intepretatif.
Fokus penelitian ini adalah representasi kominitas punk dalam film Punk in Love karya Ody C.
Harahap. Sedangkan ruang lingkupnya film Punk in Love karya Ody C. Harahap. Untuk
penelitian ini unit analisisnya adalah beberapa scene dalam film tersebut, baik dari segi audio
(suara ) maupun visual ( gambar ). Teknik analisa datanya sesuai dengan semiotika Roland
Barthes, bila hendak menemukan maknanya, maka yang dilakukan pertamatama adalah data
dikelompokkan sesuai dengan jenisnya masingmasing yang kemudian dianalisis dengan
memperhatikan makna denotatif dan konotatifnya.
Berdasarkan analisa data yang telah dilakukan, dalam film punk in Love Karya Ody C. Harahap
ini ditemukan bahwa dari punk dan musik, punk dalam film ini merepresntasikan sebagai
komunitas yang cengeng, ketinggalan zaman, orangorang kuno, dari kalangan orang menegah
kebawah, tidak mempunyai perjuangan hidup dan tidak mempunyai malu. Dalam ruang public,
komunitas punk dalam film ini di repreentasikan bahwa komunitas punk suka bikin onar, orang
yang lemah dan tidak kuat menghadapi kerasnya hidup. Dalam film ini juga merepresentasikan
bahwa komunitas punk merupakan orang yang kafir, dan ingat tuhan kalau ada maunya. Dalam
keseimbangan ruang publik, punk dalam film ini direprsentasikan sebagi orang yang lemah,
pecundang. Komunitas punk dalam film ini juga direpresentasikan sebagai oranh yang tidak
konsisten menjalani hidup, glamour, suka berfoyafoya dan suka menghina. Dalam film punk in
love ini, mereprsentasikan bahwa punk merupakan anak yang tidak mempunyai otak, yang hanya
menyelesaikan masalah dengan otot atau kekuatan saja, dan penakut.

scenes in the film, both in terms of audio (voice) or visual (picture). Data analysis technique in
accordance with the semiotics of Roland Barthes, if you want to find the meaning, then that is
first of all the data are grouped according to their own kind which is then analyzed with respect
to the meaning denotative and connotative.
Based on data analysis has been done, the movie punk in Love Works Ody C. Harahap was
found that of punk and music, punk in this film represents a community that whiny, outdated, old
people, from among the middledown, do not have the struggle of life and has no shame. In
public spaces, the punk community represented in this film that the punk community likes to
make trouble, people are weak and not robust in the face hard life. In this film also represents
that the punk community is people who do not believe in the existence of god and god only
remember if you have the will alone. In the balance of public space, punk in the film is
represented as a person who is weak, a loser. Punk community in the film is also represented as
people who are not consistent through life, glamorous, pleasureloving and likes to insult. In the
film Punk in Love, representing that punk is a child who does not want to think, who just
completed a problem with any muscle or strength, and cowards.
