Pemanfaatan limbah pertanian untuk dunia industri dan kehidupan sehari – hari sangatlah minim
maka perlu adanya suatu rekayasa agar limbah pertanian dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal
sebagai salah satu bahan pembuat helm, panel – panel plastic, botol mineral dan sebagainya..
Salah satu limbah pertanian yang bisa dimanfaatkan adalah sekam padi,dimana sekam padi
mempunyai sifat kuat dan kaku,maka dapat dipakai sebagai bahan pengisi atau filler campuran
plastik yang disebut dengan komposit. Dalam perancangan komposit ini digunakan Yukalac
QTN polyester 835 / 83K, dengan sekam padi yang telah dihaluskan dan diayak dengan berbagai
ukuran atau mesh. Perbandingan komposisi yang berbeda antara polietilene dan serbuk sekam
padi, serta dengan memakai variabel mesh merupakan salah satu cara untuk mengetahui
komposisi yang optimal dalam mengetahui kekuatan komposit tersebut.
Untuk mengetahui hasil dari seberapa jauh kekuatan komposit tersebut digunakan pengujian
tarik.
Utilization of agricultural wastes for industry and daily life - the day is minimal then there is

One of the agricultural waste that can be used are rice husk, rice husk which has a strong and
rigid nature, it can be used as a filler or filler material mixed with plastic called composite. In
this composite design used Yukalac QTN polyester 835 / 83K, with rice husk has been mashed
and sifted with a variety of sizes or mesh. Comparison of different composition between
polietilene and rice husk powder, and by using variable mesh is one way to find out the optimum
composition in knowing the power of these composites.
To find out how far the results from the use of composite strength tensile test.
