Reverse Engineering Of A Container Product Of A Plastic Injection Molding.
ABSTRACT
The reverse engineering terms is very familiar to re-design the product existed. Most
of the product existing nowadays starts from the research in reverse engineering study. There
are a lot of advantages in this field such as the cost and time can be reduce in product
manufacture and also we can integrate the product into a high level usage after a few
research been made. In this project, the scope mostly been specified to find the
manufacturing process of the mold parts and to analyze it. The product produced by injection
molding process used a mold as a guide to get the shape. The mold existed being designed
back its core and cavity to make the container. The design begin with construct the product
features first and then followed the core and its cavity. The next step was analyzing the
injection time exactly need for the product to flll the mold, selecting others material that can
be use and analyze the measurements taken. Before the manufacturing process, measurement
of the parts will be taking to compare with the actual measurements. By using the
measurement taken, we can machine the parts easier and more accurate. The process flow
started with identifying the part following with measuring the dimensions at the product and
the end was machining using a simulation provided by CATIA software.
