2.1. Concept of Dictionary

Based on Soanes 2004, dictionary is a book that lists the words of a language in alphabetical order and gives their meaning, or their equivalent in a different language. Based on Nielsen 2008,Dictionary may be regarded as a lexicographical product that is characterized by three significant features: 1 it has been prepared for one or more functions; 2 it contains data that have been selected for the purpose of fulfilling those functions; and 3 its lexicographic structures link and establish relationships between the data so that they can meet the needs of users and fulfill the functions of the dictionary. Based on Collegiate 2005 said about dictionary in four definition that’s are:  A reference source in print or electronic form containing words usually alphabetically arranged along with information about their forms, pronunciations, functions, etymologies, meanings, and syntactical and idiomatic uses.  A reference book listing alphabetically terms or names important to a particular subject or activity along with discussion of their meanings and applications.  A reference book giving for words of one language equivalents in another.  A computerized list as of items of data or words used for reference as for information retrieval or word processing.

2.2. System

There are many definition of system, writer explain them such as: 1. Based on Collegiate 2005, System in the following way: a. A set or arrangement of things so related as to form a unity or organic whole; b. A set of facts, principles, rules. Classified and arranged in an orderly form so as to show a logical plan linking in the various parts; c. A method or plan of classification or arrangement; d. An established way of doing something 2. Based on Soanes 2003,System is a group of parts that are connected or work together, based on. 3. Based on Pressman 2005,System is a collection of related elements related in a way that allowsthe accomplishment of some tangible objective.
