22.0 MEDICATION MANAGEMENT AND USE
22.1 Medication use in the department complies with applicable laws and
regulations of the Ministry of Health and hospital policy and is efficiently organized to meet patient needs.
22.2 An appropriately licensed pharmacist, technician, or other trained
professional supervises the pharmacy or pharmaceutical use. 22.3
An appropriate selection of medications for prescribing or ordering is stocked and readily available.
22.4 Medications are properly and safely stored.
22.5 Emergency medications are available, monitored and safely stored.
