ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi
luas pengungkapan corporate social responsibility. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah
perusahaan barang konsumsi yang terdaftar di bursa efek Indonesia mulai tahun 2008
sampai 2010. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah laporan tahunan
dikumpulkan melalui metode Purposive Sampling dan metode analisis data
menggunakan program IBM SPSS 19 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences)
yaitu dengan melakukan analisis regresi linier berganda, uji R, uji F, dan Uji t.
Berdasarkan uji yang sudah dilakukan diketahui bahwa variabel ukuran perusahaan
(SIZE) dan leverage (DER) tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap luas
pengungkapan corporate social responsibility, sedangkan Umur Perusahaan (AGE)

RINGKASAN

Faktor–Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Luas Pengungkapan Corporate
Social Responsibility Pada Perusahaan Consumer Goods Yang Terdaftar di
Bursa Efek Indonesia; Yeni Tata Rini; 090810301282; 2012; 68 halaman; Jurusan
Akuntansi Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Jember.
Pengungkapan (disclosure) didefinisikan sebagai penyediaan sejumlah
informasi untuk pengoperasian secara optimal pasar modal efisiensi (Hendriksen,
1994). Secara konseptual, pengungkapan merupakan bagian integral dari pelaporan
keuangan. Secara teknis, pengungkapan merupakan langkah akhir dalam proses
akuntansi yaitu penyajian informasi dalam bentuk seperangkat penuh statemen
keuangan (Suwardjono, 2005). Akuntansi corporate social responsibility (CSR)
merupakan suatu paradigma baru dalam bidang akuntansi yang berkembang pesat
dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Akuntansi ini dikembangkan sebagai respons atau
tuntutan dan tantangan yang sedang dihadapi dunia bisnis. Dunia bisnis dituntut tidak
hanya bernafsu meraup laba setinggi mungkin tapi juga harus lebih peduli dan
reponsif pada isu-isu sosial dan lingkungan yang kian serius dan kompleks dalam
setiap perumusan kebijakan dan tindakan bisnisnya. Selain itu, dalam beberapa tahun
terakhir ini banyak pebisnis juga mulai menjadikan isu-isu corporate social
responsibility (CSR) sebagai “core value” dalam strategi bisnisnya. Sasaran ini
membangun bisnis yang tumbuh secara berkelanjutan karena ditopang oleh pilar
sosial dan lingkungan yang kuat dan berkesinambungan (Lako 2010:138).
Penelitian ini Bertujuan antara lain 1) Untuk memperoleh bukti empiris
adanya pengaruh ukuran (size) perusahaan terhadap luas pengungkapan corporate
social responsibility (CSR); 2) Untuk memperoleh bukti empiris adanya pengaruh
umur perusahaan (age) perusahaan terhadap luas pengungkapan corporate social
responsibility (CSR); 3) Untuk memperoleh bukti empiris adanya pengaruh
profitabilitas perusahaan terhadap luas pengungkapan corporate social responsibility

(CSR); 4) Untuk memperoleh bukti empiris adanya pengaruh leverage (DER)
perusahaan terhadap luas pengungkapan luas pengungkapan corporate social
responsibility (CSR).
Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang
berupa laporan tahunan perusahaan. Obyek penelitian yang digunakan dalam
penelitian ini adalah perusahaan consumer goods yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek
Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2008-2010 yang menerbitkan laporan tahunan selama periode
penelitian yaitu periode 2008 sampai dengan periode 2010. Berdasarkan data yang
diperoleh dari Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) menunjukkan bahwa populasi penelitian
terdiri dari 99 perusahaan selama periode 2008 – 2010. Variabel dalam penelitian ini
adalah Corporate Social responsibility Index (CRSI) Ukuran Perusahaan (SIZE),
Umur Perusahaan (AGE), Profitabilitas (NPM), Leverage (DER).
Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan dapat diberikan beberapa
kesimpulan dari penelitian mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi corporate
social responsibility index (CSRI) pada perusahaan consumer goods yang terdaftar di
bursa efek indonesia, antara lain; 1) Nilai R square sebesar 0,090% yang artinya
masih banyak variabel lain diluar penelitian ini yang berpengaruh terhadap corporate
social responsibility index (CSRI) sehingga hal ini dapat dijadikan agenda penelitian
mendatang untuk mencari variabel-variabel apa sajakah yang diduga kuat dapat
mempengaruhi luas pengungkapan corporate social responsibility (CSR) pada
perusahaan consumer goods yang terdaftar di bursa efek indonesia; 2) Secara
simultan SIZE (X1), AGE (X2), NPM (X3), DER (X4) berpengaruh terhadap luas
pengungkapan corporate social responsibility (CSR) pada perusahaan consumer
goods yang terdaftar di bursa efek indonesia; 3) Secara parsial AGE (X2), dan NPM
(X3) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap luas pengungkapan corporate social
responsibility index (CSR) pada perusahaan consumer goods yang terdaftar di bursa
efek indonesia. Sementara variabel SIZE (X1), dan DER (X4) tidak berpengaruh
secara signifikan terhadap luas pengungkapan corporate social responsibility (CSR)
sehingga hipotesis 1 dan 4 ditolak.
