a. Warming Up
The first step is warming up. After entering the class room, the writer usually greeted the students. The greeting is below:
The writer : “Good afternoon class.”
Students : “Good afternoon Miss”
The Writer : “How are you today?”
Students : “I’m fine, thank you. And you?”
The writer : “I’m fine too, thanks.”
After greeting, the writer checks the attendance list of the students. The writer
: “Who is absent today class?” Students
: “Adit, Miss.” The writer
: “Why is he absent today?” Students
: “He is sick, Miss”
After that, the writer asks the students about the last material and homework. If the teacher gave them homework, the teacher should give correction
to their homework.
The teacher also gave a warming up to the students before starting the teaching and learning activity. The warming up was related to the material which
would be given to the students. The warming is below: The writer
: “Do you ever play toys or games?” Students
: “Yes, Miss”

The writer : “What are they?”
Students : “Playing hide and seek, playing tug of war.”
The writer : “What is playing hide and seek in Indonesia?”
Students : “Petak umpet, Miss.”
The writer : “Good, now we will learn about toys and games.”
b. Explanation
The second step is explanation. After giving warming up, the writer explained the materials to the students. The writer asked the students to open the
book which related to the topic. In explaining the materials, the writer used a hand book named
CENDEKIA
. The writer explained the materials based on the book. The writer gave
explanations by mentioning the vocabulary about toys and games. After the writer mentioned the name of toys and games, the students repeated it in English and
Indonesia, too. The writer gave notes about the materials and wrote on the whiteboard. The
students copied the notes on their book. After that, the writer asked to the students to do the exercise based on the notes.

After copying the notes, the writer asked the students to do the exercise based on the notes. The students made a dialogue with their friend. After that the
writer asked them to practice the dialogue in front of the class.
