Abstract
Macrobracium idea feed contains high level of carotenoid and lipid that easily. The
stability of this feed can be sustained using herbal antioxidant coating derive from
extract of green tea (Camelia sinensis) leaves, guajava (Psidium guajava) leaves,
dan ginger (Zingiber officinalis) roots. The objective of this experiment was to
evaluate the application of herbal antioxidant derived from blended extract of
green tea leaves, gujava leaves, and ginger roots tolipid stability of freshwater
prawn broodstock feed. There are two types of feed, low carotenoid as control
feed and high carotenoid as treatment feed. Coating was made of herbal extract
mixed with cassava flour (25%). Feed was added coating (1:1) and cassava flour
(26%). Positive control coating was BHT (0.01%). The feed were challenge to white
florescent lamp for 12 hours. There were six tests: coating control feed without
herbal antioxidant and BHT (K1), coating control feed with herbal antioxidant (K2),
coating control feed with BHT (K3), coating treatment feed without herbal
antioxidant and BHT (P1), coating treatment feed with herbal antioxidant (P2),
