Abstract
Classroom management is very important especially for teaching
practicum students. Good classroom management is very important because
without it the teaching learning process could not go smoothly. This study aimed
to reveal kinds of problems and the solutions of classroom management at Satya
Wacana Christian Laboratory Elementary School. It used qualitative analysis
method and the participants in the study were eight female students of 2010ers
and 2011ers of English Department of Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana. They
had taught at Satya Wacana Christian Laboratory Elementary School as studentteachers. It used interview to collect the data. The result showed that there were
six problems.
The first and second problems were related to the students, that were
students’ disruptive behavior and students’ low motivation. The next problem was
due to the poor relationship between student-teachers and the students. Some
participants also had a problem in making interesting materials. Another problem
came from the teaching facility. The LCD projector( Liquid Crystal Display)
didn’t work well. The last problem was related to the student-teacher’s
inconfidence in class.
