ABSTRAK
EVALUASI DAMPAK KEGIATAN BRAGA CULINARY NIGHT
TERHADAP EKONOMI DAN SOSIAL BUDAYA MASYARAKAT
SEKITAR BRAGA KOTA BANDUNG
Braga Culinary Night merupakan program pemerintah yang baru berjalan
pada tahun 2014. Acara ini merupakan event mingguan tepatnya dilaksanakan
setiap dua minggu sekali. Braga Culinary Night merupakan pelopor acara kuliner
pertama di Bandung. Permasalahan yang dihadapi yaitu tidak banyak warga yang
dilibatkan dalam acara dan terdapat sebagian warga yang merasa terganggu
dengan acara ini. Selain itu masyarakat masih menghawatirkan sisi negatif dari
kegiatan ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa tinggi
dampak yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan Braga Culinary Night terhadap kondisi
ekonomi dan sosial-budaya masyarakat sekitar. Metode penelitian ini adalah
statistik deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini
adalah masyarakat yang berada di sekitar Braga Culinary Night. Hasil dari
penelitian ini adalah dampak ekonomi yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat sekitar
tinggi karena mereka merasakan perubahan positif dengan bertambahnya
pendapatan, adanya penyerapan tenaga kerja dan peluang kerja meski bukan pada
sektor inti. Sedangkan dampak sosial-budaya yang dirasakan masih sedikit karena
tidak terdapat banyak perubahan nilai dan norma atau lingkungan setelah adanya
kegiatan Braga Culinary Night. Kemudian setelah diketahui hasilnya penulis

memberikan saran bagaimana keberlanjutan acara tersebut. Saran tersebut adalah
kegiatan ini dapat terus dilanjutkan karena tidak menimbulkan dampak yang
banyak merugikan bagi warga, akan tetapi untuk melanjutkan acara ini pengelola
harus memperhatikan dampak negatif yang mungkin saja akan timbul dikemudian
hari.

EVALUATION OF THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIO-CULTURAL
IMPACT OF BRAGA CULINARY NIGHT TO THE SOCIETIES
AROUND BRAGA THE CITY OF BANDUNG
Braga Culinary Night is a government program that has been running in
2014. This is an event held in every two weeks within a month. Braga Culinary
Night is a pioneer of culinary event in Bandung. The problem is not a lot of

people who are involved in the event and there are some people who feel
disturbed by this event. Besides, some parts of society still worrying about the
negative side of this event. The purpose of this thesis is to determine how high the
economic and socio-cultural impact resulting from the activities of Braga Culinary
Night through the societies around. The research method used is descriptive
statistics method with the quantitative approach. The population of this research is
the society who live around Braga Culinary Night. The result of this study is that
the surrounding societies is highly economically affected because they feel
positive changes with the increasing income, the existence of employment and job
opportunities, although not in the core sector. However, the socio-cultural impact
is still felt a bit because there are less changes in values, norms or the environment
after Braga Culinary Night activities. When the results are known, the authors
suggest how to sustain the event based on the evaluation of the economic and
social impact to the society and culture. The suggestion is to continue the event.
Because there is no negative effects that can infects the society. On the other
hand, the probability of the side effect appearances. So the event can goes well
like supposed to be.
