ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan produk berupa Komponen Instrumen Terpadu
IPA terpadu (KITAEdu) pada tema pelapukan. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode
Research and Development (RnD). Subjek penelitian sebanyak 94 orang siswa di tiga SMPN
Kota Bandung yang ditentukan secara purposive berdasarkan setiap klaster sekolah. Data
penelitian berasal dari observasi, lembar judgment expert, pretes, postes, angket dan
wawancara. Hasil analisis di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa dari 35 topik IPA di SMP,
tersedia 7 KIT (20%) dalam menunjang Kompetensi Dasar SMP. Dari 7 KIT yang tersedia,
seluruhnya dilengkapi alat, LKS dan mengandung konten IPA yang tidak terpadu. Sebanyak
14% diantaranya dilengkapi bahan praktikum. Hasil pengembangan KITAEdu pada tema
pelapukan dapat mengkomodasi tiga topik materi SMP yaitu klasifikasi mahluk hidup,
perubahan materi dan pencemaran lingkungan. Melalui optimasi KIT, diperoleh bahan- bahan
yang digunakan, antara lain batu kuarsit dan kalsit, larutan asam sulfat 5%, dengan kondisi
suhu air 51-750C, dan waktu reaksi 5 menit. Hasil evaluasi kriteria KIT, Buku Aktivitas
Siswa (BAS) dan Buku Petunjuk Guru (BPG) diperoleh aspek: pedagogi (87.5%); konten
(84.4%); teknis (79.7%); dan estetik (87.5%) yang dapat diartikan KITAEdu memiliki
kriteria KIT yang sangat kuat (83.85%). Hasil implementasi menunjukkan capaian
pemahaman konsep tertinggi pada konsep klasifikasi (89.0), dan capaian terendah pada
konsep pencemaran (78.0). Secara keseluruhan capaian penguasaan konsep pada kategori
sangat baik (84.2). Hasil Keterampilan Proses Sains (KPS) menunjukkan capaian tertinggi
pada keterampilan menginterpretasi (78.0), dan capaian terendah pada keterampilan
mengamati (69.0). Secara keseluruhan capaian KPS siswa mencapai kategori baik (71.9).
Respons siswa pada aspek penggunaan KIT menunjukkan aspek pembelajaran (91.8%) dan
aspek penggunaan KIT (91.4%). Secara keseluruhan siswa memberikan respons positif
(91.3%) terhadap penerapan KIT praktikum IPA terpadu tema pelapukan.

ABSTRACT
This study aims to get an Integrated Science KIT on the weathering topic, therefor used
Research and Development method. Subjects were 94 students from three Lower Secondary
School (LSS) in Bandung, which taken from purposive sampling. Data were collected from
observation, expert judgment sheet, pretest, posttest, questionnaires and interviews. The
results showed from 35 science topics on LSS curricula, there was only 7 (20%) Science KIT
to support the Basic Competence in lower secondary school. All of KIT equipped with
laboratory tools, Student Work Sheet with topic which not integrating science. There was
only 14% KIT equipped with materials laboratory. Results of developing KIT on weathering
topics showed that topic can accomodate three topics, there are classification, change matter,
and pollution. Result of assessment KIT, which developed, showed that aspects of pedagogy
(87.5%), content (84.4%), technical (79.7%), and aesthetic (87.5%) of KIT is very strong
(83.85%). Result of Implementation, showed highest achievements on the concept of
classification (89.0), and lowest achievement on the concept of pollution (78.0). Overall
performance on the mastery of concepts great category (84.2). Science Process Skills (SPS)
result showed the highest performance on the skills to interpret (78.0), and lowest
achievement on observing skills (69.0). Overall achievement of SPS students achieve middle
categories (71.9). Student responses on aspects of the use of KIT showing aspects of learning
(91.8%) and aspects of the use of KIT (91.4%). Overall the students gave a positive response
(91.3%) on learning process using Integrated Science KIT on the weathering topic.
