ABSTRAK
Penelitian dengan judul Literasi Informasi Siswa Kelas XII SMA Negeri
59 Jakarta dalam Proses Belajar bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa
menentukan masalah dan tingkat kebutuhan informasi, mengakses kebutuhan
informasi secara efektif dan efisien, mengevaluasi informasi dan sumbernya
dengan kritis dan menggabungkan informasi terpilih ke dalam pengetahuan
dasarnya, menggunakan informasi secara efektif, memahami konteks ekonomi,
hukum, dan social dalam mengakses dan menggunakan informas sesuai etika dan
hukum. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Survey Deskriptif. Literasi
informasi adalah kemampuan seseorang dalam menyadari kebutuhan informasi
dan dapat dengan tepat menemukan, mengevaluasi, dan menggunakannya secara
efektif dan efisien. Hasil implementasi dari indikator Model Literasi ACRL
berupa dua puluh dua pernyataan dalam bentuk kuesioner dibagikan kepada 73
responden secara systematic sampling. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah siswa
mampu menentukan masalah dan tingkat kebutuhan informasi, mengakses
kebutuhan informasi secara efektif dan efisien, mengevaluasi informasi dan
sumbernya dengan kritis dan menggabungkan informasi terpilih ke dalam
pengetahuan dasarnya. Siswa kurang mampu menggunakan informasi secara
efektif dan siswa juga kurang mampu memahami konteks ekonomi, hukum, dan
social dalam mengakses dan menggunakan informas sesuai etika dan hukum.

ABSTRACT
This research aims to determine the Information Literacy of Level XII
Students of 59 Jakarta Senior High School in the Learning Process such as the
ability of to determines the nature and extent of the information needed, accesses
needed information effectively and efficiently, and evaluates information and its
sources critically and incorporates selected information into their knowledge base
and value system, uses information effectively to accomplish a specific purpose,
and understands many of the economic, legal, and social surrounding the use of
information and accesses and uses information ethically and legally. The research
method used was a descriptive survey. Information literacy is the ability to
recognize information needs, locate, evaluate, and effectively, efficiently used. The
quetionare instruments are the implementation of twenty two ACRL Literacy
Model’s indicators and distributed to 73 respondents used systematic sampling.
The conclusion is students able to determines the nature and extent of the
information needed, accesses needed information effectively and efficiently, and
evaluates information and its sources critically and incorporates selected
information into their knowledge base and value system. Students haven’t been
able to use information effectively to accomplish a specific purpose and also
haven’t been able to understands many of the economic, legal, and social
surrounding the use of information, accesses, uses information ethically and
legally.
