By NH This book had a lot of review of Genetics and the various technologies associated with it. It is pretty up-to- date, which is difficult in a field that is expanding so rapidly. Many of the "current" methodologies/uses are in end-of-chapter or "supplemental info" type pages, but that isn't really unusual for a textbook and it doesn't detract from the information it provides.
If you've had a really thorough Genetics class, this book is more of a review than anything, with a few additions of things beyond the scope of a Genetics text. But, there isn't a whole lot of "NEW" information, so if one course or the other would satisfy educational requirements, I would not recommend them both. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.
