2. Teacher support
2.1 Support materials
We send Cambridge syllabuses, past question papers and examiner reports to cover the last examination series to all Cambridge schools.

2.2 Endorsed resources
We work with publishers providing a range of resources for our syllabuses including print and digital materials. Resources endorsed by Cambridge go through a detailed quality assurance process to ensure
they provide a high level of support for teachers and learners.
We have resource lists which can be i ltered to show all resources, or just those which are endorsed by Cambridge. The resource lists include further suggestions for resources to support teaching.
2.3 Training

3. Assessment at a glance
• Candidates for Advanced Subsidiary AS certii cation take Papers 1 and 2 in a single exam series. • Candidates who already have AS certii cation and wish to achieve the full Advanced Level qualii cation
may carry their AS marks forward and take just Papers 3 and 4 in the exam series in which they require certii cation.
• Candidates taking the complete Advanced Level qualii cation take all four papers in a single exam series.
Paper 1 Fibres, Fabrics and Design
2 hours
This paper is in two sections. In Section A, candidates answer two compulsory structureddata response questions. In Section B, candidates answer one structured essay question from a choice of
two. There is a total of 75 marks for the paper. 50 of total marks at AS Level

Paper 2 Practical

Candidates plan and make up a garment, for a total of 100 marks. See Section 5 in this syllabus booklet for further details.

Paper 3 Textile Applications and Textile Technology
2 hours
This paper is in two sections. In Section A, candidates answer two compulsory questions that test their understanding of the connections between the different elements of the subject, in particular
the interrelationship between textiles and the user. In Section B, candidates answer two of three essay type questions. There is a total of 100 marks for the paper.
