Barringtonia asiatica dan Tephrosia vogelii merupakan tanaman yang berpotensi
sebagai bahan pestisida nabati. Percobaan bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh
campuran ekstrak biji B. asiatica dan daun T. vogelii terhadap mortalitas
Spodoptera litura. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Pestisida dan Teknik
Aplikasi, Jurusan Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas
Padjadjaran dan berlangsung dari bulan Januari sampai dengan September 2012
pada ketinggian 700 m diatas permukaan laut (dpl). Percobaan dilakukan dengan
metode rancangan acak kelompok (RAK). Percobaan yang dilakukan meliputi
penentuan LC50 pada B. asiatica 0,23% dan T. vogelii 0,36%. Pencampuran
dilakukan dengan perbandingan B Ba 0,23%, C Tv 0,23%, D 1 Ba:1,6 Tv 0,23%,
E 1 Ba:1 Tv 0,23%, F 1,6 Ba:1 Tv 0,23%. Masing-masing di ulang empat kali
dengan mencelupkan dua potong daun talas ukuran 4 x 4 cm kedalam larutan
campuran B. asiatica dan T. vogelii. Hasil percobaan menunjukan bahwa
campuran ekstrak pada perlakuan D 1 Ba:1,6Tv 0,23% menyebabkan mortalitas

sebesar 20,00%, perlakuan E 1 Ba:1 Tv 0,23% sebesar 30,00% dan pada
perlakuan F 1,6 Ba:1 Tv 0,23% sebesar 40,00%. Sifat aktivitas campuran ekstrak
metanol biji B. asiatica dan daun T. vogelii pada konsentrasi 0,23% cenderung
memiliki efek antagonis.

Barringtonia asiatica and Tephrosia vogelii have the potency as natural pesticide

ingredient. The experiment aim to determine the effect of B. asiatica seed and T.
vogelii leaf extract mixture on Spodoptera litura mortality. The experiment was
implemented at Pesticide and Application Technic Laboratory, Departement of
Plant and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Padjadjaran, during
Januari to September 2012 (700 m above sea level). The Experiment were
performed with a randomized block design method (RBD). The experiment was
conducted on the determination of LC50 B. asiatica 0,23% and T. vogelii 0,36%.
Mixing is done by comparison B Ba 0,23%, C Tv 0,23%, D 1 Ba:1,6 Tv 0,23%, E
1 Ba:1 Tv 0,23%, F 1,6 Ba:1 Tv 0,23%. Each repeated four times by dipping two
pieces of taro leaves 4 x 4 cm into the mixed solution B. asiatica and T. vogelii.
The experimental results showed that the mixture of the extract in the treatment D
1 Ba:1,6Tv 0,23% mortality causes, treatment E 1 Ba:1 Tv 0,23% at 30,00% and
the treatment of F 1,6 Ba:1 Tv 0,23% at 40,00%. The nature of the activity
mixture of B. asiatica seeds methanol extract and Leaf T. vogelii at a
concentration of 0,23% is likely to have antagonistic effects.
