ABSTRAK

Skripsi ini berjudul The Oppressions On Women As Portrayed In
Beyonce Selected Songs. Dalam lagu-lagu yang terpilih, Beyonce mencerminkan
fenomena sosial tentang perempuan yang sering kali mendapatkan perlakuan buruk
dari social dan keluarganya. Tesis ini meliput analisis tentang penindasan-penindasan
atau tekanan-tekanan yang dialami oleh perempuan baik secara fisik ataupun secara
emosional. Tesis ini juga meliput analisis tentang solusi yang diberikan Beyonce atas
penindasan yang dialami oleh perempuan. Kesimpulan dari skripsi ini adalah wanitawanita yang digambarkan dalam lagu Beyonce memiliki solusi atas penindasan yang
dialaminya. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya tindakan yang diambil dalam
menghadapi perlakuan buruk yang diberikan masyarakat social maupun keluarga
baik itu penindasan secara fisik maupun secara emosional. Teori yang digunakan
dalam analisis ini adalah teori feminisme. Penulis juga menggunakan metode
deskriptif kualitatif dan penelitian kepustakaan dalam melakukan analisis. Hasil
analisis ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pengetahuan kepada para pembac tentang
penindasan yang terjadi pada perempuan yang selalu terjadi dala realita kehidupan.

ABSTRACT

This thesis entitled The Oppressions On Women As Portrayed In Beyonce
Selected Songs. In those selected songs, Beyonce portrays the social phenomenon of
the women who often get bad treatment of social and family. This thesis covers the
analysis of oppressions or the pressures experienced by women either physically or
emotionally. This thesis also covers the analysis of the solutions that Beyonce given
to the oppressions that are experienced by women. The conclusion of this thesis is
the women who portray in Beyonce’s selected songs have the solutions for the
oppressions that are experienced by them. This is evidenced by the action taken in
the face of bad treatments were given by the family or society whether they are the
oppressions on women physically and emotionally. The theory used in this analysis
is the theory of feminism. The author also uses qualitative descriptive method and
the research literature in the analysis. The results of this thesis are expected to give
the readers knowledge about the oppressions on women that always happen in the
reality of life.
