MATHEMATICS, INDONESIAN, AND ENGLISH TO THE
TENTH YEAR STUDENTS’ PHYSICS SCORES OF SMA IN

ABSTRACT

This study aims to find out the contribution percentage of the National
Examination (NE) scores of SMP on Science, Mathematics, Indonesian, and
English silmutaneusly and partially to the students’ physics scores of SMA in
Klaten.
This study was corelational research. The populations were tenth year
students of SMA in Klaten. The samples were selected by using the proportional
stratified random sampling technique and consisted of 352 students of SMA N 1
Klaten, SMA N 1 Karanganom, SMA N 1 Karangnongko, SMA N 1 Polanharjo,
SMA N 1 Wedi, SMA N 1 Jatinom, SMA N 1 Ceper, SMA N 1 Prambanan,
MAN Karanganom, SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten, SMA Muhammadiyah 2
Klaten and SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Klaten. The data were collected by using
documentations method that were the NE scores of SMP and report scores of
physics of Year X students in first semester. The data were analyzed by using the

multiple regression analysis.
The results were (1) the contribution percentage of the NE scores of SMP
on Science, Mathematics, Indonesian, and English silmutaneusly to the students’
physics scores was 28,3% included in the middle category, (2) the contribution
percentage of each score partially to the students’ physics scores were (a) 2,89%
to Science included in the very low category (b) 4,08% to Math included in the
low category and (c) the NE scores on Indonesian and English were not partially
significant.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase kontribusi nilai Ujian
Nasional (UN) SMP mata pelajaran IPA, Matematika, Bahasa Indonesia, dan
Bahasa Inggris secara bersama-sama dan parsial terhadap nilai fisika peserta
didik kelas X SMA di kabupaten Klaten.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional. Populasi dalam
penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X SMA di kabupaten Klaten.
Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik stratifikasi proporsional acak dengan jumlah
352 peserta didik yang berasal dari SMA N 1 Klaten, SMA N 1 Karanganom,
SMA N 1 Karangnongko, SMA N 1 Polanharjo, SMA N 1 Wedi, SMA N 1
Jatinom, SMA N 1 Ceper, SMA N 1 Prambanan, MAN Karanganom, SMA
Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten, SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Klaten dan SMA
Muhammadiyah 3 Klaten. Data diambil menggunakan metode dokumentasi
berupa nilai UN SMP dan nilai rapor fisika peserta didik kelas X semester 1.
Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi ganda.
Kesimpulan yang didapat adalah (1) Kontribusi UN SMP pada mata
pelajaran IPA, Matematika, Bahasa Indonesia, dan Bahasa Inggris terhadap hasil
belajar fisika secara secara bersama-sama adalah sebesar 28,3% termasuk dalam
kategori sedang, (2) Kontribusi masing-masing nilai UN SMP tersebut secara
parsial adalah (a) mata pelajaran IPA sebesar 2,89% termasuk dalam kategori

sangat rendah, (b) mata pelajaran Matematika sebesar 4,08% termasuk dalam
kategori rendah, dan (c) mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dan Bahasa Inggris
secara parsial memberikan hasil yang tidak signifikan.
