BRIEF SUMMARY


The observation took place in PT MAKMUR ALAM SENTOSA for two days. This
Observation is one of the requirement for students to graduate so this observation is very
important. Not only because it is part of the requirement, the most important is because
observation will make students learn new things in the real work that students have to face
later after graduating. The real life is started after the graduation. Through this observation
student could learn the comparison between of theories learned in classromm and the practice
applied in work.
In the school, student learned about

SECRETARY, in which they learned about many things in related to the job. whereas in the
observation, author observed the use of telephone in the office, observed the daily job of
secretary, observed the telephone service of the secretary and other things in doing
telephoning.
Author found out the comparison between theories and practice used in the company.
At that time of observation author felt wonder, how could some of the theories did not used
by the company. But finally author understand that in the real work people should have
capability to be a good worker. As the result author know how hard the real work is and

understand well what need to be prepared before taking decision to work. Theories learned in
the classroom help students to prepare everything before having a work so students would not
be surprised and shocked if they will enter the real work later.
