PENENTUAN KADAR UNSUR TIMBAL (Pb) , MANGAN (Mn) ,
ZINK (Zn) , BESI (Fe) , MAGNESIUM (Mg) PADA DEBU DAN
TANAH ERUPSI GUNUNG SINABUNG DI KABUPATEN KARO,
SUMATERA UTARA
ABSTRAK
Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang penentuan kadar unsur Timbal ( Pb) Mangan
(Mn), Zink (Zn), Besi (Fe), dan Magnesium (Mg) pada debu dan tanah erupsi
gunung Sinabung di Kabupaten Karo, Sumatera Utara dengan menggunakan
metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif yaitu dengan menggunakan alat ICP ( Inductively
Couple Plasma ), XRD ( X-Ray Difraction) dan XRF ( X-Ray Fluoresence).
Sampel debu dan tanah di destruksi basah menggunakan HNO3(p) selama 2jam.
Kemudian sampel di diamkan selama 30 menit, di saring dan diencerkan dengan
aquadest 50 ml kemudian di uji dengan ICP. Dari hasil penelitian kadar debu
erupsi gunung Sinabung dihasilkan yaitu Kadar unsur Timbal (Pb) sebesar 0,049
ppm, Mangan (Mn) sebesar 1,200 ppm, Zink (Zn) sebesar 0,265 ppm, Besi (Fe)
sebesar 97,50 ppm dan Magnesium (Mg) sebesar 3,888 ppm sedangkan dari hasil
penelitian kadar tanah erupsi gunung Sinabung yaitu kadar unsur Timbal (Pb)
sebesar 0,126 ppm, Mangan (Mn) sebesar 2,428 ppm, Zink (Zn) sebesar 0,467
ppm, Besi (Fe) sebesar 173,91 ppm dan Magnesium (Mg) sebesar 12,59 ppm.
Dari hasil penelitian tersebut Kadar Logam pada Tanah hasil erupsi gunung
Sinabung lebih tinggi dariada kadar debu hasil eruspi gunung Sinabung. Dari hasil
penelitian yang didapatkan disimpulkan bahwa kadar logam dan mineral Pb, Mn,
Zn, Fe, dan Mg pada debu dan tanah hasil erupsi gunung Sinabung sudah
memenuhi kualitas standar SNI Nomor 7387-2009.

ABSTRACT
The determination of lead (Pb), Mangan (Mn), Zinc (Zn), Iron (Fe) and
Magnesium (Mg) on the dust and land eruption mountain Sinabung in Karo
district, North Sumatera using qualitative and quantitative methods by using ICP (
Inductively Couple Plasma), XRD (X-Ray Difraction) and XRF (X-Ray
Fluorosence). Samples of dust and land in wet destruction using HNO3(p) for 2
hours. Then the sample was allowed to stand for 30 minutes, filtered and diluted
with 50 ml aquadest then tested with ICP. The results of the eruption dust eruption
of mount Sinabung resulted in the Lead element concentration (Pb) of 0,049 ppm,
Mangan (Mn) of 1,200 ppm, Zinc (Zn) of 0,265 ppm, Iron (Fe) 97,50 ppm and
Magnesium (Mg) of 3,888 ppm. While the result of the soil eruption of mount
Sinabung is the content of Lead element (Pb) of 0,126 ppm, Mangan (Mn) of
2,428 ppm, Zinc (Zn) of 0,467 ppm, Iron (Fe) of 173,91 ppm and Magnesium
(Mg) of 12,559 ppm. From the results of theses studies the metal content of the
soil eruption of mount Sinabung higher than the eruption dust eruption results of
mount Sinabung. From the result of the research, it can be concluded that the
levels of metals and minerals of Pb, Mn, Zn, Fe, and Mg in dust and land erupted
from mount Sinabung already meet the standart SNI Number 7387-2009.
