2. The Sadness of Bloody Sunday
“Fiat justiria ruat caelum” is a Latin legal phrase ascribed Lucius Calpumius
Piso Caesonjnus which means “Let justice be done though the heavens fall” in
English. This phrase has a strong correlation with a tragedy that happened in 1905
which many workers and their families massacred on their way to the Tsar‟s
official resident. They sacrificed their life begging for justice and protection. On
top of that, this tragedy is called Bloody Sunday which has an interesting
historical timeline.
The story of Bloody Sunday tragedy began when Russia was under the control of
Tsar Nicholas II. People of Russia felt unsatisfied and unfair with his leadership
because nobles and landlords got special rights and protection rights. The workers

treated no more than a slave in their workplace. Due to tfiis authoritarian
government, the workers went on strike. Then, they marched with their families
on 22 January 1905 to the Tsar‟s official resident.

75

It was pre-first light winter darkness of Sunday morning, a group of peaceful
workers and their families led by Father Gapon marched to the Tsar‟s Winter
Palace in St. Petersburg to appeal their grievances to Tsar Nicholas II. The
demonstrators began to gather at six points on the industrial edges of St.
Petersburg included close to the Narva Gate stood a formation that led by Father
Gapon. Afterward, they were singing patriotic songs and holding religious
symbols. Suddenly, the first shooting occurred between 10 to 11 a.m. in the
morning. Tsarist troops opened fire on the demonstrators, killed and injured
hundreds of them. Then, the peaceful demonstration changed into commotion at
that moment. Almost a thousand demonstrators were slaughtered on this tragedy
that called “Bloody Sunday.” Finally, this tragedy created chaos throughout
Russia and it made revolutionary activities started in Russia.
To sum up, Bloody Sunday is one of the justice issues and a terrible tragedy for
people of Russia. Justice is one of the keys to having peace and slavery is against

the human rights. A lot of people fight and sacrifice everything for their rights to
have justice. The tragedy of Bloody Sunday that happened in 1905 will always
remember in the heart of Russian as their struggle for justice.
3. My Little Yellow Box
Have you ever lost your little stuff? Let‟s say you are a hijaber and you often lose
your safety pins? Then same here. I lost my stuff easily especially when I have to
deal with my small- sized stuff such as my flash disk, keys, paper holder, and
safety pins. Well, I think that I don‟t actually lose them, I guess that I just forget
where I put them like almost all the time. I can say that I always be so careless
every single time I have to deal with all these tiny stuff of mine and I am so sick
of losing them, because at the end of the day, I have to buy another ones. So I
managed to buy a little box to store all my easy-to-lose stuff.
I bought the box in one mini market that is located next to my dormitory house.

76

The mini market provides a lot of stationery stuff such as pens, pencils, books,
sticky notes, binders, also various size 9f storages, etc.-When I came to the mini
market, I was dragged with an eye catching little box that made me buying it.
The box has a perfect small shape with soft yellow based color. It has a beautiful

printed flowers all over the surface of the box. The flowers is as colorful as the
rainbow. The box is made by carton materials so that makes it light and easy to be
carried or moved. It has a little black rubber-made lace on the shutter of the box
and it has a small round metal-made button on the bottom of the box. So when I
have my stuff inside I can just lock the box by twisting the lace all the way the
button to make them stay inside.
The box is so helpful, it helps me arrange and store my stuff so that it will be easy
for me to find and take the things that I need. It also has an extra drawer for a
quick access on the right side of the box. I use it to store my safety pins for my
veils and also for my hair scrunchy, because these two things are the things that I
frequently need.
Since the day I have my little box, I don‟t need to worry about losing my valuable
little things anymore. Because I can store them inside the box easily and every
time I need any of those, I can just find and take it from the storage box. And also
because it is made of light material which is carton, I can move or bring it with me
for example when I go traveling and need something to store and keep my things
save and accessible.
