ABSTRACT
When peoples a s client wants to obtain informa tion a bout the institution/orga nization or
to a ccess data , they ca n directly a ccess informa tion tha t ha s been provided on the system owned
from the orga nization/institution, but sometimes when a ccesing these da ta ha ppen fa ilure. This
fa ilure occurs because of a single of fa ilure, a fa ilure tha t resulted in a single point of service can
not be run properly. For exa mple, a n intererruption in the form if da ma ge to computer systems,
stora ge a nd network. This will obstruct the business processes a nd data loss resulting in la rge
losses. So a va ilability of da ta/services a re needed.
One solution to overcome the a bove problem is to use the technology of Automa tic File
Replication Cluster High-Ava ila bility Stora ge With GlusterFS Using. With this technology a i ms to
ha ndle single of fa ilure, so the a va ilability of da ta ca n be secure a nd the system ca n run properly
when a fa ilure occurs at one point. The purpose of this resea rch wa s to a na lyze a cluster high a va ila bility storage using GlusterFS and the benefits a re providing servers that work continuously
without a ny intteruption Single Of Fa ilure. In this resea rch is also known sca le va lue of
a va ila bility is equa l 99,6826548%.

ABSTRAK
Ketika masyarakat sebagai client ingin mempero leh informasi tentang suatu
institusi/organisasi atau mengakses data, mereka dapat langsung mengakses informasi yang telah
disediakan pada sistem yang dimiliki oleh institusi ataupun organisasi tersebut, namun terkadang
pada saat mengakses data-data, terjadi kegagalan. Kegagalan in i terjad i karena single point of
fa ilure , kegagalan di satu titik yang mengakibatkan layanan tidak dapat berjalan semestinya.
Misalnya terjadi gangguan pada sistem yang berupa kerusakan ko mputer, stora ge dan jaringan.
Hal in i akan menghambat proses bisnis dan kehilangan data yang mengakibatkan kerugian besar.
Jadi ketersediaan data/layanan sangat dibutuhkan.
Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah dengan memanfaat kan
teknologi Automa tic File Replication Cluster High -Ava ila bility Stora ge dengan menggunakan
GlusterFS. Manfaat teknologi ini bertujuan untuk menangani single point of fa ilure , jadi
ketersediaan data dapat terjamin dan sistem dapat berjalan dengan semestinya ketika terjadi
kegagalan pada satu titik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis sebuah cluster high-a va ila bility
stora ge dengan menggunakan GlusterFS dan manfaat yang didapat adalah menyediakan layanan
server yang berkerja terus-menerus tanpa adanya gangguan single point of fa ilure . Dalam
penelitian ini juga diketahui nilai skala a va ila bility sebesar 99,6826548%.
