ABSTRAK
Fraktur maksilofasial adalah terputusnya kontinuitas tulang-tulang
pembentuk wajah seperti mandibula, maksila, tulang nasal, zygoma, palatum,
tulang frontal, dan tulang orbita. Metode perawatan fraktur maksilofasial adalah
dengan reduksi tertutup atau reduksi terbuka fiksasi internal dengan menggunakan
plat titanium. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memberikan gambaran kasus fraktur
maksilofasial yang difiksasi dengan menggunakan plat titanium dan mengetahui
sejauh mana penggunaan plat sebagai alat fiksasi pada perawatan fraktur
maksilofasial di RSUP dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung.
Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif retrospektif dengan teknik accidental
sampling mengenai kasus-kasus fraktur maksilofasial yang difiksasi dengan
menggunakan plat titanium di Bagian Bedah Mulut dan Maksilofasial Fakultas
Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Padjadjaran - RSUP dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung.
Jumlah total sampel penelitian adalah 135 buah rekam medis pasien dengan
diagnosis fraktur maksilofasial.
Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan penggunaan plat titanium sebesar 82,24%
dari keseluruhan kasus fraktur maksilofasial.
Simpulan penelitian yaitu plat titanium digunakan sebagai alat fiksasi pada

sebagian besar kasus fraktur maksilofasial di RSUP dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung.

ABSTRACT
Maxillofacial fracture is a condition of facial bones discontinuity as in
mandible, maxilla, nasal, zygoma, palate, frontal and orbital. Treatment method of
maxillofacial fractures areclose reduction or open reduction internal fixation using
titanium plates. The aim was to describe maxillofacial fracture cases fixated using
titanium plates and to determine the further use of titanium plates as a fixation device
at Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Padjadjaran University Faculty of
Dentistry - RSUP dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung.
The research was a descriptive retrospective study with accidental sampling
technique about maxillofacial fracture cases fixated using titanium plates at

Department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery RSUP dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung.
The samples were 135 medical records diagnosed with maxillofacial fractures.
The result shows the use of titanium plates are 82,24% of total maxillofacial
fracture cases.
The conclusion is titanium plates are used in more than a half of maxillofacial
fracture cases treated at RSUP dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung.
