Abstract
Aimed of the study was to determine the difference of immune response in bali
cattle with different hair colors against Jembrana disease virus. This research used two
females bali cattle aged 2 years with different hair color, such as: brownish red (C)
and yellowish red (K). Each cattle was adapted in 2 weeks, before the cattle were given
anti worm drug. Feeding was given 3 times a day, while drinking was given ad libitum.
Inoculation of antigen was done by using JD.Vacc.sp.15 (produced by BBVet
Denpasar) as much as 3 ml intramuscularly for each cattle. Two weeks after
inoculation, blood of the cattle was taken from the jugular vein in order to isolate
lymphocytes using picoll-paque gradient technique. Lymphocytes were then cultured in
DMEM medium without serum. Further, immune response cell evaluation was
performed by using Methylthiazol Tetrazoleum (MTT) test. Result showed that the
difference in cellular immune response brownish red cattle was significantly higher
