CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

A. Conclusion
Research of profile of students critical thinking on sense concept in secondary
school implementation has been conducted systematically, based on the research
result it is acquired some conclusions as follows:
1. General characteristic of the question that can measure inch’s critical
thinking in this research are: (1) question must be arrange and appropriate to
the eight indicator of critical thinking by Inch et al (2006); (2) question must
be follow by relevant information, it was stated based on Inch (2006) that
question to measure critical thinking must be the one that direct students to
answer rationally the question which cannot be answered easily;
(3) Questions has validity and reability with interpretation more than
“prosperous
2. The spesific characteristic that the author found while making the multiple
choice question of inch’s critical thinking on sense concept are:
a) Information in a form of illustration/ attractive figure, b) Information
about of daily life activity, c) Information in a form of interesting article of

health issue, d)Information in a form of scientific methode
3. The development of multiple choice inch’s critical thinking question include
four main step, there are: making of the item test, expert judgement-limited
test, conduct the large test, and analysis of the result.
4. The profile of critical thinking in private secondary school is 51.8 %. This
show prosperous level. This can be cause by the new curriculum that has not
been completely learn by students. Other caused may lay to psychologist
aspect or the phase of students in secondary school which start to develop to
think more abstractly.

B. Recommendation
Based on the findings of the research that has been conducted and concluded,
there are several recommendations that necessary to be conveyed by the researchers,

some of them are
1. Other researcher
This result of test instrument can be a basic to other researcher to do research
about test instrument of inch’s critical thinking. The profile can be used as a
basic information to increase critical thinking. And other similar research can
be done in other science topic to explore students’ ability in critical thinking.
2. Teacher
This research of critical thinking can be used by teacher to know the level of
critical thinking or used it as a basic information of students and later try to
inmprove it. The way to improve the level of critical thinking can be with
method or instrument that foloows the indicator of critical thinking.
