CONCLUSION AND SUGESTION

4.1 Conclusion
The writer learns many things from the observation and interview. Basically
the theory and the real still relevant. The requirements of receptionist have
similarity between the theory and the real. Although in the real, sometimes because
of the minimum of employees, the hotel management has to take policy to
maximize the available employees. The writer thinks that flexibility is needed in
hospitality industries. Everything have to be suitable with the condition. Besides
that, a good manner, personality and also skill also important in hospitality
industries.
4.2 Suggestion
The writer got many benefits by conducting the observation and interview in
Kayu Arum Resort. The writer got much new knowledge about hospitality
industries, especially in how to be a professional receptionist and how to make the
guest satisfied. The writer also had some changes to meet new people who are very
kind, warm and have professionalism toward their job. The writer can learn from
them how to make the guest feel comfortable by observing what they did toward the

writer. However, the writer thinks that the time is very limited. So, the writer found
some difficulties in collecting the data. Hopefully, the faculty gives much longer
time to do the observation and interview.
